debut.

For many girls in the South, your debut into society is an affair that is not to be taken lightly... so you can imagine the seriousness of this post!  It is a first impression that I am hoping will be the perfect balance of memorable and inspiring.

I started blogging a year (or was it two years) ago.  Driven by my passion for all things stationery and gift wrap and hostess goodies, oh my... my first blog~ Pink Cricket Paper took flight.  While a fun hobby for one summer, I quickly lost track of it when I went back to teaching full-time in August.  Sad to see my blog go, I was in a season of life where my plate was just too full and I knew that something had to give.  So I pulled back from my blog and let my godaddy url subscription come to an end, yet I couldn't help but feel a sense of loosing part of myself.  Pink Cricket Paper was my outlet and without it I was just going through the daily grind of life with very little passion or creativity.

I am ready to get back to living out that creative part of my life.  For any woman who is... well a woman... whether a mommy or not, married or not, working or not, this constant soul searching is a common experience.  So here I am, standing vulnerable at my debut to the world wide web hoping to reclaim my passion, my creativity, my self.

So, you might ask, why not just pick back up with Pink Cricket Paper?  Although I love stationery, it is not my only passion.  I am a dreamer and a schemer.  I love reading, I love coffee, and I love all things Southern.  My heart is dedicated to living my life out loud for Christ and to giving my all to my family without reservation.  I was born to teach but have a drive to own a business of my own one day.  It is an eclectic collection that make up my favorite things and I wouldn't trade them for the world because they are what makes myself and my life so crazy, beautiful.

Here's to a Happy Debut, y'all!
